A JTL-Shop With a Built-In Light Planner and Invoices That Book Their Own Payments
The Brief
Farmlux24 sells LED lighting for riding arenas, stables and farm buildings. The owner, Alois, has planned lighting for this kind of building for years. How many fittings a hall needs, which fitting, and how to hang them: that knowledge sat with him.
The new shop had to carry that knowledge, so customers can size and order a standard hall themselves. Behind the shop sits JTL-Wawi, the German ERP that runs the business, where as little as possible should be done by hand.
The project ran as Compound Co x Invictus Marketing. Matt Atoms at Invictus Marketing designed the shop, including the concept of a curated range instead of long filter lists, and leads the client relationship. Compound Co built the shop in JTL and everything behind it.
What We Built
A JTL-Shop 5.7 on JTL-Wawi 2.0, built as a child template on JTL's NOVA theme from the Invictus design. Three features carry the project.
A light planner built on Alois's own rules
The customer picks hall or outdoor arena, then ceiling height, dimensions and lighting level, from leisure riding to competition. The result shows the number of fittings, the right fitting and the illuminance reached under DIN 67526 and EN 12464-1. The rules of thumb come from Alois, including his mast table for outdoor arenas: a 20 × 40 m arena takes four masts with four or six fittings each. Above 12 m ceiling height, and for competition arenas or sports grounds, the planner does not calculate and sends the customer to individual planning instead.
The planner leads to the order
If the result matches a complete set, the planner links straight to it with the set price. Otherwise it leads to the single fitting or to an enquiry. It also gives mounting notes for each scenario, such as counting the roof trusses first because the fittings hang from them. The hall and arena tiles on the homepage open the planner with the matching preset.
Payment by QR code on the invoice
Many orders come in by phone or email and are paid on invoice. Every invoice now carries a personal payment link with a QR code. The customer scans it and pays through Mollie, and the payment is booked in JTL-Wawi automatically, with nothing left to match by hand. JTL offers this with its Advanced edition. We built it on the edition Farmlux24 already had, using JTL's own workflow engine and external interface.
Complete sets with live contents
The most common hall and stable sizes have ready-made sets, priced below buying the parts individually. The contents shown on each set page are not written into the page. They come from the bill of materials in the Wawi, so when Alois changes a set, the page follows.
Smaller details
Project references filter by hall and outdoor arena, with the featured project changing to match. The homepage shows the range in tabs for stables, indoor arenas and outdoor arenas. The withdrawal button required under § 356a BGB since June 2026 was in place from launch.
Launch and Next Steps
The shop has been live at farmlux24.de since 21 September 2026.
Next is Alois's professional light plan: a position plan, a section view and a parts list for halls the planner hands over to individual planning.
“We went from processing every order by hand to having 90% of them run completely on autopilot. Orders come in, go to the right wholesaler, and the customer gets their tracking number, all without us touching a thing.
